  • The Indian seekers of wisdom is concerned with Sat (existence, truth) Cit (Consciousness) & Ananda (Everlasting happiness).

  • Liberation or Mukti is an important feature.

  • Religion is an integral part.

  • Deals with political ideologies, social doctrines, linguistic analysis, aesthetic explanations, cultural heritage & almost everything from live if part of it.

  • Materialism to spiritual absolutism.

  • Vedas or the source of knowledge aka Sruti.

  • Vedas have come to us from the sages or seers in deep meditation.

  • The Upanishads revel the Absolute Truth as a mean to liberate and is popularly known as the Vedanta.

  • Upanishads are set in a dialogue between a teacher & a disciple.

  • The Epics, Puranas, Bhagavad Gita & Tirukkural (Tamil Classical) are all Upanishads.
